A Kimberley Barra fishing painting titled ‘Seas the Day’ is an artwork by Suzanne Holland.
Artists Description:
‘Seas the Day’ painting, is a Kimberley classic frozen nanosecond, perfectly balanced between mangroves and mayhem.
An unbelievable moment, wailing in salt spray from the fisherman’s sunburnt lips.
“What the …!”
Twisted mangrove roots are grinning breathlessly, witnessing an almighty muscular Barramundi of the sea, take a chance on dinner.
… OR IS THE KIMBERLEY BARRA THE DINNER?
Razor strong claws of a resident sea eagle, wills the ‘Kimberley Barra’ a bit closer, increasing his luck of catching a meal in full flight.
A wiry saltwater croc, positions his slimy teeth, in greedy arrogance, that dinner is a belly flopped ‘Barra’ swallowed whole.
The fisherman’s and his mate, ‘Bruce’, are being blown away with shiny lure possibilities of fresh cooked fish.
All of the stakeholders are out to ‘Seas the Day’.
But, does the Barramundi escape to the cool blue depths of freedom?
You’ll have to visit the wild Kimberley, to find the answer and seas your own day.
Have you been Kimberley Barra fishing?
The Kimberley offers a wild landscape and untouched waters to those brave enough to try their luck Barramundi fishing. Thick mangrove lined creeks offer the perfect spot to throw a line in and catch a Barra.
